Elevation gain: 450

Roundtrip time: 3:00
Solo scramble.
On a cloudy day when I needed something short and easy again, GR319583 seemed like a good choice. I got the idea to ascend this minor bump off the Trans-Canada from Sonny Bou, who did the ascent last April - http://www.freewebtown.com/ssbou/ssbou2006/gr320533.html.
Like Sonny, I found the ascent to be more interesting than the lackluster roadside view would dictate. There were a few opportunities to tackle some slabs and lots of room to explore the west and north sides of the mountain. For variety I chose to pick my way down the east side of the mountain and hike along the highway back to my car. A pretty decent objective if you’re just out for a little exercise.
