On-going work....

You will have noticed that  as well as some newly planted half-barrels, the play area now has a gated fence around it.   This serves two main purposes:

1. Keeping dogs off the children's play area, for obvious reasons!
2. Making it easier for you to supervise your children, as they only have one entrance and exit point to the play area.

In the next few days, the whole play area will be rotavated and re-turfed.  Safety matting will be laid under and around the play equipment which will allow grass to grow through it, leaving an attractive and safe play area.

Further work will be on-going to:

1. improve the appearance of the beds around the garden;
2. clean up the cobblelock area;
3. remove the remaining unfenced grass area to allow better access;
4. repair and renew the picnic tables and benches;
5. create a "smoking shelter" (further details of this shortly, subject to planning consent etc etc etc)
