4/11/05 - Almost time to graduate. I have not been able to put nearly as much time into the site as I had hoped. After graduation I plan on totally revamping the site and making a database. Stay tuned!

3/21/05 - Well, things are not going as fast as I had hoped with this site. I am so busy finishing up school and working my two new jobs (which I love) that I haven't had time to do everything I had hoped. Also, I can't figure out how to add a database to this site because the host doesn't support php. If anyone can help me out with that, please let me know!

3/13/05 - My next job is going to be putting all of the facts into a database. This will make it easier to search, and to add more facts. Then I will continue adding as many reputable facts as I can find!

3/1/05 - Finally getting somewhere on the site. Starting to get the information added, and the formatting kinda right. I know that the design is kinda flawed, but I am working on it!

2/12/05 - I just wanted to take the time to make a tribute to one of my favorite television shows.  Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.  I love this show because of the amazing and wonderfully way it deals with gender issues.  The main detectives, Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler are prime examples.  Elliot is a tough detective, but he has a family and children.  He loves his children and they are a big part of his life, but his work often keeps him away from them.  Olivia is a tough single women, who is very independent, however, she does not come off as a "girl power" or a "man hater" at all.  Both are believable and not stereotypical.

Not only are the main detectives a great example of this show's exemplary method of dealing with gender, but the cases presented in the show are as well.  The cases deal with a wide range of criminals.  It is not always the evil man rapes the poor helpless women (sometimes it is, but not often).  Many times the story shows how a man's life can be ruined because of a false rape charge.  How good men can be demonized because of society's perceptions of men.  It is a great show!

2/9/05 - This is the first week of work on the new site.  I am remembering the basics of web design and graphic design.  My current knowledge is very rudimentary (as you can see), but I tend to pick up these things pretty quickly.  I am hoping the web site will improve very rapidly.  Return to keep up to date!
