NECN provide's you with the best weather reports in New England,

For years the weather reports at NECN have benefited from a group of dedicated weather hobbyists. This site serves several purposes:

The near real time rainfall and snowfall information from the spotters has no equal. 
It's great to be able to confidently report things like where the rain/snow line is in a storm.

The first spotters filed reports by telephone.  So we have created a Yahoo group  that is now an invaluable source for a lot of our on air reports.

Web forms and automated posts are now becoming important as they offer ways to automatically consolidate reports. This all meshes well with the current generation of weather stations that connect to home computers and email software.
