M. Night Shyamalan has his own American Express Card commerical that is currently on TV Stations everywhere. The one that ran during the Oscars is around three minutes and is absolutely wonderful. Keep yours eyes peeled!

The master's over at JoBlo.com have posted the new Lady in the Water poster and it's incredible. This, along with the teaser releaesed in November, make it seem to me at least that this could be Shyamalan's best work yet. This is probably the best poster for a film of his yet. Discuss this in the forums!

In the December 2005/January 2006 issue of Premiere Magazine, there is a photo of Bryce Dallas Howard, looking mighty foxy I might add, in the contents section (pg. 16.) I'd scan it but I don't have a scanner right now....but check it out!

If you have visited the forums, you would know that the teaser for Lady in the Water is online now on Apple's site. I have been going to it but it won't load up for me so perhaps they have taken it down. The link works but there isn't a direct link on Apple....who knows? Thanks spikeshinizle for the info.
UPDATE: The teaser is working now and I finally got to see it. The shots....are beautiful. That's all that I can say. Man, oh man. Wonderfully done teaser too.

'LADY' WEBSITE AND SYNOPSIS - posted by drew
Allright...some more news. Lady in the Water has an official website up and you can check that out in the link below. Included is the official synopsis for the film which is below. Now this sounds much better than what I originally thought it was about. I was a bit worred for awhile. I love the idea that it says it's "A Bedtime Story". Brilliant.
In Lady and the Water, a story originally conceived by Shyamalan for his children, a modest building manager named Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti) rescues a mysterious young women (Bryce Dallas Howard) from danger and discovers she is actually a narf, a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the treacherous journey from our world back to hers. Cleveland and his fellow tenants start to realize that they are also characters in this bedtime story. As Cleveland falls deepers and deeper in love with the women, he works together with the tenants to protect his new fragile friend from the deadly creatures that reside in this fable and are determined to prevent her from returning home.

I for one have not seen the new teaser for Lady in the Water but I have been reading some interesting stuff about the crowd reactions including lots of laughter. Not sure what to make of it. If you have seen it, feel free to post your reaction to in the forums. At least give me an idea if it was intentionally funny or not...
And in other news, besides seeing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire this weekend, go see the new Joaquin Phoenix (Signs) film Walk the Line. It is based on Johnny Cash's life and looks to be great. Oscar talk for Mr. Pheonix? Hope so!
One final quick thing. If you have not checked out the teaser just released for Superman Returns directed by Bryan Singer, then do it. It will probably be the film of 2006. No joke. Looks absolutely briliant from just that minute and a half of footage. Brandon Routh is the next big thing.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is hitting cinema screens this Friday with previews for two new WB films, Superman Returns and Lady in the Water, the new one from Shyamalan. Now the Superman teaser is hitting the internet Thursday night at 9 so hopefully this is the case for Lady in the Water. Get ready. The preview runs nearly two minutes and will hopefully contain some interesting footage. Feel free to join the forums and discuss this and anything else you want. It will be groovy.
