St Angela's School was the only all girls' private school in the sultanate. This is a distinction we are proud of. Our pride does not come only from being an exclusive school but from the tradition and culture that permeate our school. Being an all girls' school, we have a school culture and climate different from that of other schools. Our girls do things other girls do. But more than that they learned to do things boys do because they have to compensate for the absence of males in our school. But our girls do not complain. In fact, they do not consider that a shortcoming, a disadvantage, nor a set back. It is for them a vast advantage for they learn to be self sufficient and to be more resourceful.
However, times are now changing and circumstances call for us to open our doors to a Co-educational school. We love being an all girls' school but we are not averse to turning COED. We welcome this change, as much as we have welcomed all other challenges that have faced our school because we know we have much to offer. We know what our school can do and we are all geared up to share what we have and what we are with a greater number of students. And we can only do this if we open our doors to boys as well.
We are proud that we have done much to help our girls develop their full potential and to discover their inner strengths. Now we are eager to face the challenge of helping the boys be the best they can be - the St Angela's way!
We will always look back at being an all girls' school with fond remembrance but we know that we will never regret the coming of a new chapter in the history of St Angela's. We will always cherish what we were, love what we are, and work hard to be what we can be.
